Principle Infrastructure Architect - HPC

As a Principal Infrastructure Architect you will lead the design, implementation and optimisation of their High Performance Computing solutions, playing a key role in driving the strategy, architecture and operation of HPC systems with a focus on Linux Redhat infrastructure performance.

This is a senior, impactful role where you'll work on multiple concurrent projects and provide technical direction within a global, talented team.

Location / WFH:

There's an office working policy, but with some flexibility on working within their City of London based office.

About you:

• Experience of leveraging modern computer architectures including but not limited to GPU, new CPU architectures, and modern HPC storage platforms.
• Extensive experience with Linux in an enterprise environment with the following areas of focus: operations, systems engineering and systems performance.
• System tuning (memory/CPU/network) for high bandwidth compute infrastructure.
• Experience with identifying low-level performance bottlenecks: induced by the OS, from software architecture, HPC storage, or on the network layer.
• Full understanding of network protocols such as TCP, UDP, RDMA and how to properly tune servers and network for each Physical server architecture understanding differences between CPU chipsets and when is the right time for each.
• Experience and understanding of HPC job schedulers.
